Elementary Education (Grades K-5)
Lay a solid foundation for your child’s education! Small classes, caring teachers, developmentally-appropriate goals and activities combine to engage children and develop a love of learning.
Our program features an integrated classical and Christian curriculum. Small classes allow teachers to nurture each student, and to create a learning environment that fosters character development. Parental involvement is encouraged in a variety of areas. The well-rounded curriculum includes art, music, and physical education, as well as the study of Latin in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.

In kindergarten, realms of opportunity and knowledge open before children, and the delight and joy they find in this new world is evident each day on their bright faces. Here they may also meet some of their earliest struggles. Reading may not come as easily as backyard play at home. Counting and arithmetic may not give the same immediate gratification as stories. Sitting attentively may prove very difficult.
Our Kindergarten classroom is a place where the trajectory of a child’s schooling begins, and his affections toward learning are formed. Therefore, we provide an atmosphere of love, affection, support, safety, learning, and growth; well-formed habits; and an appetite for ideas that will bless the child for his whole life.
Ambleside Schools International (www.amblesideschools.com) provides the curriculum for Kindergarten. Children delight in stories from literature, history and the Bible, arithmetic that is both mental and manipulative, science studied by way of nature, as well as experiencing the work of famous artists and composers. Rounding out the students’ experience, the Kindergarten curriculum also includes working with Froebels gifts, handwork of stitching and weaving, letters and their sounds and then learning to read, poetry, geography and recitation. This robust curriculum is truly a feast for their growing minds!
